Is lobular hyperplasia with nodules serious?

Lobular hyperplasia with nodules is usually a benign nodule and is not particularly serious. However, some middle-aged women with a family history of breast cancer should be highly alert because more women may develop nodule-like changes based on lobular hyperplasia, which may lead to cancer and eventually breast cancer. Therefore, for lobular hyperplasia with nodules, if the nodules do not change significantly or shrink after conservative treatment, such cases can be observed clinically. If the nodule is persistently enlarged or has a high imaging grade, or if the nodule has a poor morphology and is rich in blood flow, the nodule should be treated with surgery as soon as possible as it may have become cancerous.
