Formulas for Xiaoqinglong Tang

Xiao Qing Long Tang is from “The Essentials of the Golden Chamber”. It has the effects of relieving exterior cold and dispersing cold (removing cold from the muscle surface), warming the lungs and resolving the fluid (promoting the flow of stagnant fluid by warming the lungs). It is mainly used for treating the symptoms of external cold and internal drinking. Xiaoqinglong Tang is composed of ephedra, peony, fine acrid, dry ginger, licorice, cinnamon stick, hemixia and schizandra. The formula takes the pungent and warm ephedra and cinnamon stick as the ruler, to relieve the surface by sweating, and ephedra can also open and promote the lung qi to relieve asthma and cough, and cinnamon stick can promote the flow of qi and water (to promote the flow of gas, thus promoting the flow of water and liquid), so as to facilitate the dissolution of the internal drink. The use of the pungent and hot dry ginger and the pungent and warm fine acrid to warm the lungs and dissolve drinks, as well as combining with ephedra and gui zhi to resolve the symptoms and eliminate evil spirits. This formula is supplemented by Semixia, which is hard and warm, to dry dampness and resolve phlegm (to remove phlegm in the body by drying dampness), harmonize the stomach and reduce rebelliousness (to regulate the stomach qi, so as to make the upwardly rebellious qi descend). However, there is phlegm (water metabolism disorders in the formation of pathological products), the spleen and lungs are weak, pure use of pungent temperature, fear of pungent dispersal of gas, warm and dry injuries, so the Wood sour and sweet schizandra astringent lung (astringent lung qi) to stop coughing, and paeoniae lactiflora and nutrients and blood. The two drugs and the products matching the XinShan, both make scattered in the collection, in order to facilitate the opening and closing of the lung qi, and enhance the cough and asthma (stop coughing, calm wheezing) of the function, but also to prevent all the XinShan warm and dry medicine exhaustion of gas and injury to the Yu Yu, but also for the adjuvant.
