How long does it take to walk normally with a soft tissue injury to the ankle

Soft tissue injury of the ankle can usually walk normally in 1-6 weeks, as follows: First, if there is no serious ligament injury, it is only a soft tissue injury. Patients can resume walking after a week or so of fixation, cold compress, braking, rest and with anti-swelling and pain-relieving drugs, such as Cao Wu Jia Su tablets, to promote the rapid relief of symptoms. Second, if it is a serious ligament injury, such as medial collateral ligament, lateral collateral ligament injury, the patient needs brace or plaster fixation. In severe cases, surgical repair is needed. Generally, the ligaments can heal in about six weeks, and the patient can walk normally, but cannot exercise strenuously, otherwise the repaired ligaments will be damaged again, leading to traumatic arthritis, causing long-term ankle pain, swelling and activity limitation, affecting normal life and work.
