Heat in the palms and feet is mostly caused by internal heat due to yin deficiency, or internal depression due to fire heat, etc. It can be treated with Chinese medicines such as Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan and Liang Di San under the guidance of Chinese medicine practitioners.
Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan has the effect of nourishing yin and lowering fire (nourishing yin essence and lowering fire), and is used to treat yin deficiency of the liver and kidney (insufficient yin in the liver and kidney), inflammation of deficiency fire, which can be seen as dizziness of the head and eyes, tinnitus and deafness of the ears, toothache of deficiency fire, heat in the five hearts (agitation and sullenness) (fever in the heart of the hands and the hearts of the feet, and self-consciousness of heat in the heart and chest), soreness of the waist and knees, and spermatorrhea, dreaming of ejaculation and so on.
Cool Diaphragm San has the efficacy of diarrhea and laxative, clearing up and draining down, and is used in treating fire-heat syndrome of the upper and middle jiao, with symptoms such as irritability and thirst, redness of the face and scorched lips, irritable heat in the chest and diaphragm, sores in the mouth and tongue, restlessness in sleeping and lying, delirium, epistaxis (vomiting of blood, nosebleed), constipation, ulceration, redness, or unsmoothness of bowel movement, and so on.
The adverse reactions and contraindications of the above two formulae are not clear.
