Can androgenetic alopecia return to normal?

Androgenetic alopecia can be normalized by medication and hair transplantation.
1. Medication: Finasteride can inhibit the conversion of serum testosterone to the more active dihydrotestosterone to alleviate the symptoms of hair loss. Partial hair regrowth can occur. You can also use topical minoxidil, which can stimulate hair growth and requires long-term use.
2. Hair transplantation: Hair transplantation involves removing a narrow strip of hairy scalp from the occipital region, separating the follicular units and planting them in areas of thinning or balding hair, most of which are performed under local anesthesia. Hair transplants can dramatically improve a patient’s appearance and self-confidence, however, hair transplants do not create new hair, they simply transplant the patient’s existing hair into the balding area.
If you are suffering from androgenetic alopecia, it is recommended that you visit a hospital promptly and the above medications should be used as prescribed by your doctor.
