Intestinal obstruction is a clinical disease in which intestinal contents cannot pass through smoothly due to various reasons, leading to blockage of intestinal lumen, followed by abdominal pain, abdominal distension or even nausea, vomiting, and anal stopping of defecation and gas evacuation. Repeated episodes of intestinal obstruction are mainly seen in two cases: 1. Adhesive intestinal obstruction caused by adhesion of intestinal tubes after a history of abdominal surgery. The vast majority of adhesive intestinal obstruction can be relieved or cured through conservative treatment. If recurrent, further laparoscopic adhesion and loosening is needed to get symptomatic relief or cure.2. Mechanical obstruction caused by intestinal tumors and polyps requires further colonoscopy to make a clear diagnosis. When the diagnosis is mechanical intestinal obstruction caused by intestinal tumor or polyp, further local resection of intestinal tube or even radical resection of intestinal cancer is needed.
