Can MRI detect fetal intestinal atresia?

Fetal atresia can be detected by performing an MRI.
If a woman has an abnormally dilated fetal bowel during an ultrasound examination, this indicates the possibility of intestinal atresia, and further MRI examination is required.
MRI is relatively clear for soft tissue examination, and MRI examination has less impact on the fetus. In general, it can provide a clear examination of the condition of the fetal intestinal tubes and determine whether there is intestinal atresia in the fetus.
If the MRI results are abnormal, the results need to be interpreted under the guidance of a doctor to determine whether the fetus is developing normally so that the next step of intervention can be taken.
