Proportion of Astragalus and Atractylodis Macrocephalae in boiled water

The ratio of Astragalus, Atractylodes Macrocephala and Fenghuang boiled in water can be controlled at 2:2:1, i.e., 10-20 grams of each of Astragalus and Atractylodes Macrocephala (one day’s dosage for an adult) and 5-10 grams of Fenghuang (one day’s dosage for an adult).
Astragalus is sweet in flavor, slightly warm in nature, and belongs to the spleen and lung meridians. It is effective in tonifying qi and elevating yang, benefiting Wei and consolidating the surface, inducing diuresis and eliminating swelling, generating body fluid and nourishing blood, promoting stagnation and paralysis (to make the paralyzed meridians smooth out), supporting toxin and draining pus (to expel pus and toxins in the body), and restraining sores and regenerating the muscles (to help the sores to heal more quickly and to promote the growth of new flesh).
Atractylodes macrocephala has a sweet, bitter flavor and warm nature, and belongs to the spleen and stomach meridians. It is effective in tonifying Qi and strengthening the spleen, drying dampness and inducing diuresis, stopping sweating and tranquilizing the fetus.
Fenghuang is pungent and sweet in flavor, slightly warm in nature, and belongs to the bladder, liver and spleen meridians. It has the efficacy of dispelling wind and relieving epidemics, winning dampness and relieving pain (removing pain caused by excessive dampness), and stopping spasm.
Astragalus atractylodis Macrocephalae and antifungal combined can play a very good effect of tonifying the deficiency and consolidating the epidermis, and the commonly used Chinese medicine prescription Yupingfengsan is composed of these three medicines. The use of Chinese medicine should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor, not self-medication, so as not to cause adverse consequences.
