How to read the results of fetal heartbeat monitoring

Fetal heart rate monitoring results are mainly related to four aspects: baseline fetal heart rate, variation of baseline fetal heart rate, fetal movement, and acceleration and deceleration of fetal heart rate. 1. Baseline fetal heart rate: The fetal heart rate should be between 110-160 beats per minute. 2. Variability of baseline fetal heart rate: the baseline on the fetal heart monitor is not a straight line, but a line with irregular fluctuations, the amplitude of which is generally 6-25 beats per minute. 3. Fetal movement: within 20 minutes, there should be 2 or more fetal movements. 4. Acceleration and deceleration of fetal heart rate: with the appearance and disappearance of fetal movement, the fetal heart rate will accelerate and decelerate, after 32 weeks of fetal heart rate monitoring, the acceleration amplitude should be more than 15bpm and the time more than 15 seconds. Fetal heart rate monitoring should be read by a professional obstetrician, and any abnormalities should be treated in a timely manner to clarify the cause.
