How to prevent cancer

Recently, the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) showed through a survey of tens of thousands of cancer patients that one-third of common cancers can be prevented through lifestyle changes, and some “simple changes” in life can greatly reduce the risk of getting cancer. According to the survey, overweight significantly increases the risk of 10 types of cancers, including bowel cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer and prostate cancer. According to the data of World Health Organization, there are about 500,000 new cases of adult cancer related to overweight or obesity every year, accounting for 3.6% of the total number of cancer cases in the world. In fact, maintaining a reasonable weight is the most useful way to prevent cancer. Studies show that storing too much fat causes the body to produce “growth hormone,” which is associated with cancer. Although scientists have not completely identified how alcohol causes cancer, there are theories that alcohol can damage DNA and increase the risk of disease, and if a person drinks and smokes at the same time, it can increase the damage to the body.
