What to do about low bone mass

Low bone mass refers to the low mineral content of the bones and can occur for a variety of reasons. Most of them are due to insufficient intake of calcium and vitamin D, or the accelerated rate of bone destruction in the body, which can lead to low bone salt content. Once the low bone mass occurs, you can first take calcium preparations containing vitamin D in moderation, and observe whether the low bone mass can be corrected through calcium preparations and vitamin D supplementation. If, after 2-3 months of oral calcium and vitamin D treatment, the symptoms do not resolve and the bone salt content does not increase or gradually decreases, the cause of the low bone salt content should be determined. If the low bone salt content is due to other endocrine or hormonal disorders or abnormalities, the primary cause should be treated. Vitamin D and calcium preparations should be taken together to have a better effect.
