Stenting or conservative treatment for cerebral infarction

Patients with cerebral infarction choose whether to have stenting or conservative treatment according to their specific vascular condition, general condition and patients’ wishes.
1. Conservative treatment: Conservative treatment is chosen for patients with mild stenosis; conservative treatment is chosen for patients with moderate-to-severe stenosis who are old, in poor general condition, unable to tolerate surgery or unwilling to undergo surgery.
2. Surgical treatment: For patients with moderate to severe stenosis who are in good general condition and willing to undergo surgical treatment, interventional stenting is feasible, and long-term oral medication is also required after the surgery.
After cerebral infarction, it is recommended to follow the arrangement of professional doctors. If the patient is suitable for stenting and the financial condition can be afforded, it is recommended to choose public hospitals with surgical conditions for surgical treatment.
