Nodular goiter means nodular goiter, which is a benign disease that occurs with significant regional variations. It is mainly caused by an imbalance in the body’s metabolism of iodine or an increase in demand for iodine and insufficient exogenous supplementation, resulting in the proliferation of thyroid follicles and the formation of multiple nodules, clinically known as nodular goiter. Nodular goiter occurs mainly in middle-aged and older women. When you have nodular goiter, some of your thyroid gland functions normally, while others may become hyperthyroid, or hyperthyroid. If the nodular goiter is large, or if it is combined with hyperthyroidism, surgery is required.
