How long do you need to isolate shingles?

Herpes zoster is a disease caused by infection with the varicella-zoster virus and usually does not require isolation. Herpes zoster occurs mainly in immunocompromised people. After infection, localized skin manifestations such as erythema, blisters, and rupture are seen, along with numbness, burning, pain, itching, and other conscious symptoms. The disease is somewhat contagious, but much weaker than the contagious chickenpox, and is mainly transmitted through direct skin contact or indirect contact, and not through the air, droplet transmission, so after getting herpes zoster generally does not need to be isolated. The treatment is based on antiviral, nerve nutrition and pain relief, and the rash is basically not contagious when it crusts and falls off. It should be noted that patients need to consume more fresh fruits and vegetables, high quality protein, etc., as well as regular work and rest, to develop good habits, which will help the condition to get better.
