Post-stroke syndrome can be treated mainly by taking the acupoints of Dicang, Lianquan, Quchi, Huizhong, as well as Si Shencong and Shui Gou. There is no so-called special effect acupoint due to the individual differences in the condition.
Dicang: This point is located at the corner of the mouth, which is lateral to the pupil, and is mainly used for post-stroke symptoms such as crooked mouth and salivation (drooling).
Lianquan: this point is located on the midline of the body, between the mandible and the laryngeal node, one inch back from the lower edge of the mandible in the depression, and is mainly used for post-stroke dysarthria (poor speech), salivation, and difficulty in swallowing.
Quchi: this point is located at the lateral side of the elbow, at the end of the transverse stripe of the elbow when the elbow is flexed, and is mainly used for upper limb paralysis and impotence after stroke.
Commission in the middle: this point is located at the midpoint of the horizontal stripe of the popliteal fossa behind the knee, and is mainly used for lower limb paralysis and impotence paralysis after a stroke.
Sishencong and ShuiGou: Sishencong is located 1 inch in front of, behind, to the left and to the right of Hundred Meetings Point, and ShuiGou is located at the junction of the upper 1/3 and the lower 2/3 of nasolabial sulcus, which is mainly used for post-stroke aftereffects of fainting, insomnia, irritability, dizziness and displeasure in speech.
There are many treatment methods for post-stroke sequelae, clinical generally need multi-disciplinary joint systematic treatment, it is recommended to seek medical treatment in time to avoid delaying the best time for recovery.
