Why does the foot swell but not hurt?

There are many reasons for swollen feet without pain, which need to be combined with clinical symptoms, physical signs and examination to make a judgment. It is also seen in patients with hypoproteinemia, which may be related to low food intake, poor nutritional status, and hypoproteinemia secondary to liver disease, and may cause edema of the whole body and weakness in addition to edema of the feet. Heart and kidney diseases can also cause swollen feet. Heart diseases are often accompanied by symptoms such as chest tightness and shortness of breath, and both sides of the body are symmetrically swollen, while kidney diseases are often accompanied by facial and generalized edema in addition to swollen feet.
