Does a woman without a uterus still have her period?

Women do not menstruate without a uterus. The uterus is the organ for menstruation, and women menstruate mainly because the endometrium proliferates, secretes, exfoliates, and bleeds under the cyclic action of estrogen and progesterone, so the patient will have cyclic menstruation. If the patient has a total hysterectomy there will be no more endometrium, so the patient will not have menstruation again. If the patient has had a sub hysterectomy, in which case most of the patient’s uterus has been removed, a small amount of endometrium may be preserved. If a small amount of endometrium is preserved, the patient will still have a period, but it will be very light. If the patient has had a total hysterectomy or a secondary hysterectomy, but the endometrium was not preserved, the patient will not menstruate. If bleeding is still present, it is important to consider bleeding from the vaginal wall or residual cervical lesions.
