How to treat syringomyelia in babies

Syringomyelia in babies is mostly congenital and can be treated with regular follow-ups and surgery depending on the condition.
Congenital syringomyelia can be absorbed by itself and can be followed up regularly. Meanwhile, if the size of the effusion is small and the baby has no obvious symptoms, regular follow-up treatment is also available and no special treatment is needed.
If the syringomyelia persists beyond the age of 1 year, or if the syringomyelia is large in volume or size and accompanied by obvious symptoms, surgery should be considered. The main surgical methods are high ligation of the syringomyelia at the inner ring, testicular syringomyelia resection and reversal.
Baby syringomyelia is recommended to seek timely medical treatment, according to their own conditions under the guidance of the doctor to choose the appropriate treatment program.
