How should I treat obesity type 2 diabetes?

When it comes to diabetes, many people know that diabetes is a serious risk to human health. There are facts that show that everyone has the possibility of developing diabetes, and every 30 seconds one person in the world has a limb amputated due to diabetes, and every 10 seconds one person dies from diabetes and its related diseases. China’s diabetes population is huge, the number of people with the disease is growing rapidly, and the current situation is not optimistic, but what is more worrying is that the prevention and treatment of diabetes in China is still at a low level, the incidence rate is 11.6%, the awareness rate is only 30%, the treatment rate is only 25.8% under the premise of low awareness rate, the effective control rate is only 40%, and the pre-diabetes patients are as high as 50%, from the data is enough to see that China It is clear from the data that the disease development of diabetes in China is showing a very serious situation. In the past, the idea was that diabetes was a lifelong disease that could not be completely cured, but with the development of medicine, in recent years, the global medical community has proposed that diabetes is an intestinal disease that can be completely cured by surgery. It has gradually become recognized and accepted that diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes, may be cured. It is understood that the medical community has now begun to suggest that diabetes may actually be a disease of the intestinal tract, which points to a direction of treatment for diabetic patients. With the development of medicine, the level of surgical procedures continues to advance, which makes it possible for diabetes to be cured eventually. In fact, the use of surgery to treat diabetes was actually an accidental discovery. 1982, Pories, an American surgeon, stumbled upon the idea that weight loss surgery could treat diabetes. The professor then conducted a 16-year-long study with 608 patients participating in the study. The results of the study showed that patients with type 2 diabetes had a cure rate of 83% and an efficiency rate of 95% after weight loss surgery. This has created a new way of surgical treatment for type 2 diabetes. The principle of bariatric surgery for diabetes is that by changing the structure of the intestine and displacing most of the gastric functions, reducing the space of the stomach and the length of the small intestine, food intake and absorption are greatly controlled and endocrine changes are made, thus improving and restoring the function of pancreatic islet cells. After the surgery, the blood sugar of diabetes gradually stabilizes and returns to normal value, and the incidence of chronic complications of diabetes significantly decreases. Currently, bariatric surgery is used in the United States and Europe to treat type 2 diabetes, and has become a common treatment modality, especially for patients with obesity. In China, this surgery was performed later, but tens of thousands of weight loss surgeries for diabetic patients have also been performed. Some data show that this surgery has an efficiency of more than 95% for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It can be said that the effect of bariatric surgery has brought health benefits to all type 2 diabetic patients.
