Blood stem cell donation precautions

Blood stem cell donors are generally first checked for the donor’s red blood cell blood type and white blood cell blood type before donation, and the donor’s white blood cell blood type is roughly classified and then entered into the blood bank. The blood bank will design and arrange the leukocyte blood types of each different donor on a computer program and compare them with the blood bank when needed. If there is an exact match, the donor is considered to be a matched and qualified donor. If blood stem cells are indeed needed, a physical examination of the donor is performed prior to HSCT. First of all, it is necessary to exclude whether the donor has hepatitis, tuberculosis, bleeding and coagulation system abnormalities. The main reason for conducting a physical examination of the donor is to exclude the donor’s own diseases and to avoid causing harm to the patient. In addition to the examination items of the donor, there should be some psychological comfort for the donor, because before the donation to stimulate the blood production drugs, there may be pain, the donor mainly keep the life aspect to be smooth, the rest is not special.
