Flatulence of the feet, which is also known as swelling of the feet, is a condition that needs to have its cause clarified first if further treatment is desired. If the foot flatulence occurs in both feet at the same time, the following tests should be performed, such as heart function, liver and kidney function, as well as lower extremity venous valve function tests, in order to determine whether or not the flatulence of the feet, also known as swelling, is caused by heart failure, abnormalities in liver and kidney function resulting in a drop in protein, or regurgitation caused by lower extremity venous valve insufficiency. Once this condition is diagnosed, it can be treated according to the above causes, such as the heart can be given cardiac strengthening treatment, while liver and kidney function abnormalities can be treated for the primary cause and protein supplementation. In patients with venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, conservative or surgical treatment is required. Conservative treatment involves the use of compression stockings and oral medications such as Avellan or Mazolin to achieve remission without progression. In the case of superficial venous insufficiency, the condition can be cured by surgery.
