What to do with a unilateral epididymal head cyst of 6 centimeters

A unilateral epididymal head cyst of 6 centimeters is one of the larger cysts and usually requires consideration of surgery. Epididymal cysts are relatively common benign tumors in the epididymis, mostly formed by localized expansion of the testicular output tubules in the epididymis, containing sperm and other components. Generally for small epididymal cysts, no obvious symptoms can not be treated, but 6 cm belongs to the larger cysts, need to consider surgical treatment. Therefore, elective surgery can be considered for such simple large epididymal cysts. For epididymal cysts that appear to be combined with acute infections, anti-infective treatment should be given first, and after the infection is under control, then the appropriate time for epididymal cystectomy should be chosen.
