Methods of nevus removal

“Nevus”, also known as “mole”, usually refers to pigmented nevus and certain misshapen tumors, the causes of which are mostly related to heredity, developmental defects, trauma, ultraviolet rays, hormones and so on. At present, the main treatment methods include surgery, physical therapy and so on. 1. Surgical treatment: patients with appearance requirements, serious symptoms or malignant tendency (such as sebaceous nevus) can choose surgical treatment; it should be noted that the surgery may leave scar, and if the scope of the lesion is large, it may need to be resected in several times; and since surgical resection can realize the hypotonic closed suture, if cosmetic stitches and manipulation are used at the same time, the risk of scarring can be reduced to a certain extent. 2. Physical therapy: laser therapy is a commonly used physical therapy; it is mainly applied to nevus of Ota and smaller pigmented nevi. It should be noted that this method is forbidden for people with keloid constitution, and it is not suitable for people who are suspected to have malignant tendency, and this method is not recommended for nevi with large area. It is recommended that patients go to regular hospitals, undergo relevant examinations, choose the appropriate treatment method under the guidance of professional doctors, and receive treatment according to the doctor’s instructions.
