How can ureteroscopic lithotripsy prevent upward migration of stones?

Stone migration is a common problem in ureteroscopic lithotripsy, especially for upper ureteral stones. In the previous year, less than 4% of patients underwent ureteroscopic lithotripsy, which is much lower than the common rate. It greatly shortens the recovery time of patients, reduces their hospitalization cost and alleviates their pain. The reasons for this are the flexible movement of the lithotripsy basket, the control of Holmium laser energy and water flow speed, and the coordination of the patient’s body position, all of which are intertwined.
