What Syphilis Hair Loss Looks Like

Syphilis alopecia is mostly worm-like, manifested as limited or diffuse hair loss, generally non-permanent hair loss, timely treatment is recommended.
Syphilis alopecia is usually one of the typical clinical symptoms of stage 2 syphilis, untreated or incomplete treatment of stage 1 syphilis, caused by the invasion of syphilis spirochetes into the hair follicle resulting in insufficient blood supply to the hair area, the hair loss site can be worm-eaten, hair sparse, uneven length, can involve the long hair and short hairs, manifested as limited or diffuse alopecia.
However, syphilitic alopecia is not permanent hair loss or scarring alopecia, and hair can usually regrow after anti-syphilis treatment.
