There is no specific standard for how many days a child’s recurring fever usually goes down, it depends on the specific disease and condition.
Children’s upper respiratory infections caused by bacteria and viruses usually have a fever that goes down after 2 to 3 days. Mycoplasma infections caused by fever in the absence of targeted treatment with drugs such as azithromycin, the fever may last 5 to 7 days.
Children due to pneumonia, purulent tonsillitis, urinary tract infections, purulent meningitis and other causes of fever, fever is longer, may have to last 5 ~ 7 days, or even longer, due to the different course of the child’s disease, fever reduction time will be different.
