Gallbladder polyp removal can live for several years

Gallbladder polyps can usually survive for a long time after removal. Gallbladder polyps are common benign diseases of the gallbladder, and early detection and early treatment by biliary ultrasound will not affect life expectancy. At present, gallbladder polyps are mainly operated by laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which has the characteristics of small trauma and fast recovery. If the gallbladder polyp removal surgery goes smoothly and does not cause bile duct damage, etc., the postoperative period will not affect the quality of life, let alone the survival period. If a gallbladder polyp becomes cancerous, it will significantly affect the patient’s survival. Even with surgical treatment, the five-year survival rate does not exceed 5%, and most patients die within one year after surgery. Most gallbladder polyps are benign lesions, and timely checkups in hepatobiliary surgery are recommended to rule out the risk of cancer. In daily life, attention should be paid to avoiding spicy, greasy and stimulating foods, quitting smoking and alcohol.
