Differences in composition and efficacy: Spleen Enhancement Pill is composed of Fried Atractylodes Macrocephalae, Radix et Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng, Fried Hawthorn, Fried Citrus Aurantium, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Fried Maitake, and the efficacy is to invigorate the spleen and open the stomach.
Differences in treatments: Jian Spleen Pill is used for treating weakness of the spleen and stomach, distension and fullness of the epigastrium (abdomen), loss of appetite, and loose stools; Gui Spleen Pill is used for treating palpitation and shortness of breath due to deficiency of the heart and spleen, loss of appetite, insomnia and excessive sleep, and tiredness and weakness of the limbs.
The adverse reactions and contraindications of Jian Spleen Pill have not been clarified. Spleen Pill avoid eating cold, greasy and indigestible food. Not applicable to acute enteritis diarrhea, mainly manifested as abdominal pain, frequent watery stools, or fever.
