Are there many patients with 1 cm lung nodules



Patients with 1-centimeter lung nodules are more common, and many lung diseases can present with lung nodules.

Lung nodules refer to lung shadows less than three centimeters in diameter, which may be isolated or multiple, and many lung diseases can lead to lung nodules, and many of them are asymptomatic and not easy to detect, mostly found by physical examination or other diseases when doing CT examination of the lungs.

There are benign and malignant lung nodules. Most of the lung nodules are benign lesions, which may be tuberculosis ball, pulmonary aspergillosis, pneumonic pseudotumor, fibroma, and lung misshapen tumor. Malignant nodules are less common and refer to lung cancer, but may also be metastatic cancer from other sites.

Lung nodules of 1 cm are recommended to be combined with clinical symptoms and further examination to clarify the nature of the nodule and choose the appropriate treatment. Usually, we should stay away from polluted environment and have a balanced diet.
