Patients with postoperative anal fistula incisions should have their incisions changed 1-2 times/day, preferably 2 times a day if the incisions are large and deep. One of them is in the morning after the patient’s bowel movement, after cleaning the incision, and the other one can be before bedtime. Due to the continuous exudation for one day, the local incision may accumulate infected materials, and the patient needs to clean the local incision, take a sitz bath and disinfect it before going to bed for the second change. If the anal fistula incision is relatively small and superficial, 1 change of medication after a bowel movement in some mornings is sufficient, so the specific number of medication changes should be combined with the surgical incision and based on the advice of the doctor in charge.
