Stage E retinoblastoma indicates that the condition has become more serious and usually requires surgery to remove the eye. Retinoblastoma staging can be divided into five stages ABCDE, and stage E is the most serious condition. It usually means that the anatomical structure and function of the eye have suffered extensive damage, for example, neovascular glaucoma has been formed, massive hemorrhage inside the eye, accumulation of pus as well as extensive destruction of the lens, vitreous body and other structures. In this case, the function of the eye is usually lost and it causes severe eye pain and distortion of the appearance of the eye. Treatment usually involves surgical removal of the eyeball, and if orbital invasion or systemic metastases have occurred, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are also required. Retinoblastoma is usually a serious disease, and it is recommended to go to a regular hospital in time.
