The child’s fever and vomiting may be caused by upper respiratory tract infection, acute gastroenteritis, encephalitis and other causes.
1. Upper respiratory tract infection: mainly due to inflammation caused by various pathogenic microorganisms, due to the release of inflammatory substances, can cause fever, but also stimulate the throat area to vomit.
2. Acute gastroenteritis: mainly due to acute inflammation of the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract caused by viral or bacterial infection. Patients often manifest nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and accompanied by varying degrees of fever, chills, headache and so on.
3. Encephalitis: mainly due to various pathogenic bacterial infections, autoimmune disorders and other causes of acute inflammation of the brain parenchyma, can cause intracranial pressure rise. The common manifestations of patients may include headache, fever, blurred consciousness, stiff neck, projectile vomiting and so on.
Fever and vomiting in children can also be seen in other causes, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital in time, follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, to avoid delaying the condition.
