Colon cancer should be rechecked every 3 months in 2 years after surgery, every half year after 2 years, and every 1 year census after 5 years.3 months rechecking includes routine blood, routine stool, fecal occult blood, tumor markers, ultrasound, CT, colonoscopy.Ultrasound checks the patient’s liver, hepatic, biliary, and splenic, as well as whether there is any metastasis of the lymph nodes in the abdominal cavity.CT requires rechecking every year, and the chest and the abdomen are done as a plain scan with enhanced CT.Colonoscopy is done in the 3 months after the patient’s surgery, and a second time 3 years later if no problems are found. If the patient is found to have multiple polyps, it is done again 1 time after 2 years. If the colonoscopy is reviewed after 2 years with no abnormalities, it is repeated every 3 years thereafter. Patients are not required to have CT reviewed at every review, but are required to have it done every 1 year.
