The two are not the same species and differ in the herb itself and its efficacy. 1. The medicinal material itself: Qianjin vine is the stem and leaves or root of the plant Qianjin vine in the genus Qianjin vine of the family Fangji. Tumulus is the dried root of Tumulus or Zangmuxiang, a plant of the Asteraceae family. 2. Efficacy: Qianjin vine has curative effects on rheumatism paralysis (wind-cold dampness paralysis of joints, lumbar and leg pain), lumbar and leg pain, sore throat, dampness-heat gonorrhea, dysuria (unruly urination), edema and foot fungus, etc. The drug is effective in clearing away heat and detoxifying toxins, dispelling wind and relieving pain, and inducing diuresis to subdue swellings. Tu Mu Xiang is good at calming the fetus, moving qi and relieving pain (relieving pain by regulating the body’s qi), strengthening the spleen and harmonizing the stomach, and is often used in conditions such as distension and pain in the epigastrium (abdomen), contusion of the chest and ribs, vomiting and diarrhea, restlessness of the fetus, and pain in the forked qi. Although there is no obvious toxicity in Qianjin vine and Tu Mu Xiang, Qianjin vine has a certain degree of coldness and is not suitable for people with weak spleen and stomach. People with internal heat and dry mouth, dry throat and tongue should not use Tu Mu Xiang. Patients with discomfort are advised to consult the doctor in time and standardize the treatment. Both drugs should be used in accordance with medical advice.
