The radius is the bone of the forearm and, together with the ulna, forms the bony scaffold of the forearm. The radius is located on the lateral side of the forearm and is divided into two parts, the distal end of the radius, together with the distal end of the ulna and the carpal bone, forms the carpal joint. The distal end of the radius has the presence of the radial styloid process, the most prominent part of which is the radial styloid process in the lateral forearm. The proximal end of the radius has the radial head, which together with the lateral condyle of the humerus and the ulnar eminence and medial condyle of the humerus form the elbow joint. When the radius rotates in the forearm, it is mainly the radius that rotates around the ulna to complete the rotational function of the forearm.
