Can irregular endometrial hyperplasia be cured?

Irregular hyperplasia of the endometrium in women is curable. Most of the time when this occurs, it is due to high estrogen levels in the woman’s body, which continue to stimulate the endometrium to proliferate abnormally without regular exfoliation. A diagnostic curettage followed by pathological histological examination can be done to rule out the possibility of endometrial lesions. After the surgery, oral progestin, such as dydrogesterone, can be taken routinely for a course of treatment, usually three cycles. After the course of treatment, the pelvic ultrasound can be repeated to see if there are any abnormalities in the thickness of the endometrium. If there is any abnormality, another diagnostic curettage can be done. For women who do not have childbearing requirements and are older, if they still have endometrial hyperplasia and have irregular vaginal bleeding, hysteroscopic ablation of the endometrium can be performed.
