Symptoms of Rhinitis in Children

Rhinitis in children is generally categorized into allergic rhinitis, infectious rhinitis and non-allergic non-infectious rhinitis. Symptoms of rhinitis of different natures are different, but most of them are dominated by symptoms such as nasal congestion and runny nose. 1. Allergic rhinitis: children may have itchy nose, and their pharynx, soft palate and eyes may also be itchy, and they may also have paroxysmal sneezing, watery nasal discharge, nasal congestion, etc., which can be accompanied by eye symptoms, such as burning sensation, redness and swelling of the eyes, and tearing. 2. Infectious rhinitis: refers to the inflammation of nasal mucosa caused by viral or bacterial infection. Nasal secretion may change from mucous to purulent, and there may be fever, generalized discomfort and other symptoms, similar to upper respiratory tract infection. 3. Non-allergic non-infectious rhinitis: refers to the inflammation of nasal mucosa caused by non-specific allergic and pathogens. Symptoms are similar to allergic rhinitis. Parents should observe their children’s changes, if they find that their children have abnormalities, parents should take their children to the hospital in a timely manner, after diagnosis and treatment in accordance with the doctor’s instructions, parents should not give their children medication, stop or change the medication without authorization.
