Back pain is usually not caused by lung cancer. If there are no other symptoms of lung cancer, back pain is usually not caused by lung cancer; there are many reasons for back pain, such as lipoma, cyst, infection, bruise, fasciitis, overwork, cold, etc. All of them may cause back pain. Lung cancer patients usually show symptoms such as cough, blood in sputum, hemoptysis, dyspnea, fever, chest pain, hoarseness, etc. If lung cancer is in the middle or late stage, the spread of cancer cells to the back will cause back swelling and pain, and patients with back swelling and pain with the above mentioned symptoms may be suffering from lung cancer. If the patient with back pain is suspected to have lung cancer, he/she should actively consult a doctor, do not use medication by himself/herself to avoid adverse results, and follow standardized treatment under the guidance of doctor’s consultation.
