Epididymal tuberculosis cannot be cured by itself, and needs active treatment, commonly used methods include drug treatment, such as rifampicin, and surgical treatment, such as epididymis and orchiectomy.
1. Drug treatment: Early epididymal tuberculosis is mainly treated with drugs, most of them can be cured, and need early, regular, whole course, full dosage, combined medication, commonly used first-line anti-tuberculosis drugs are rifampicin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol, etc. Choose the appropriate drugs according to the patient’s condition.
2. Surgical treatment: if the effect of drug treatment is not good, the lesion is heavy, and there is scrotal skin sinus tract or abscess formation, it is necessary to perform epididymectomy and orchiectomy under the cooperation of drug treatment, and try to retain the epididymis and testis tissues as much as possible, and pay attention to the safety of the perioperative period.
If diagnosed with epididymal tuberculosis, early standardized treatment is recommended to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
