Compilation of single prescriptions for back pain

  1. 3g each of Radix et Rhizoma Pseudostellariae, Chuanwu, Nanxing, Cinnabar, Fructus Sinensis and Ginger, 1.5g each of Xanthium, Camphor, Clove and Musk, 5g each of Radix Rehmanniae and Radix Rehmanniae.
  Usage: Research into fine powder. When applying, take the above-mentioned powder and mix it with ginger juice, bake it slightly, put it in the palm of your hand and knead it repeatedly for 20-30 minutes against the lumbago, 2-3 times a day.

  2. 9g of each of Fenfeng, Douhu, Bacopa monniera and Poria, 15g of Morinda citrifolia and 12g of Gentiana macrophylla.
  Directions: Decoction in water
  Indications: cold dampness and lumbago
  3. 15g each of Tortoise, Yam and Radix Rehmanniae, 9g each of Poria, Dan Pi and Ze Di.
  Usage: Decoction in water
  Indications: Kidney deficiency and lumbago
  4. 10g each of Rhubarb, Angelica dahurica and Cinnamon, 2g of camphor, 100ml of white wine.
  Usage: Soak the above medicine in wine for 1 day, take 10ml each time, 2 times a day.
  Indications: Blood stasis and back pain
  5.Shenqu 1 piece
  Usage: Quench in a large bowl of yellow wine, remove the Shen Qu and drink the yellow wine.
  Indications: lumbago
  6. 15g each of Poria cocos and Morinda citrifolia, 9g each of Atractylodes Macrocephalae, 9g each of Atractylodes Macrocephalae, 6g each of Glycyrrhiza glabra, 6g each of Radix et Rhizoma Polygonati, 12g each of Radix et Rhizoma Polygonati, 10g each of Radix et Rhizoma Chuanjian, 10g each of Radix et Rhizoma Dogwood, 30g each of Black Bean and Walnut.
  Directions: Decoction with water.
  Indications: Rheumatic lumbago
  7. 10g of Phellodendron Bark, 15g of Szechuan Niu Knee.
  Usage: Decoction in water.
  Indications: Damp-heat lumbago
  8. Orange kernels and Eucommia globulus, each in equal parts.
  Usage: Sear and grind into fine powder. Take 6g each time with salt and wine.
  Indications: Kidney deficiency and lumbago.
  9. 3-9g each of star anise and mullein, 9-15g of eucommia, appropriate amount of wine.
  Usage: Decoction with water.
  Indications: Back pain due to cold condensation and stagnation of Qi.
  10. 9-12g each of Semen Cuscutae and Radix Achyranthes bidentatae, with appropriate amount of wine.
  Systematic use.
  Indications: cold dampness and lumbago
  11. 20g of cinnamon, hyssop and peach kernel.
  Directions: To be taken by dipping in wine.

  12. 10g each of Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Chuanxiong Ligustici, Dioscorea Z, Fructus Anemarrhenae, Niubizi, 15g each of Fructus Lycii, Cortex Eucommiae, Pinelliae Pinelliae, Dried Eggplant Root, 1 Dried White Flowered Snake, 5g Glycyrrhiza Uralensis.
  Directions: Decoction in water
  Indications: Cold dampness and back pain.
  13. Gunpowder nail, black ugly, equal parts of each.
  Usage: Finely grind together. Take 1-2g each time, 2 times daily.
  Indications: Cold dampness, blood stasis and lumbago.
  14. Wei Ling Xian Powder
  Usage: Take 6g 3 times a day.
  Indications: Cold lumbago.
  15. 10g of each of Atractylodes, Atractylodes, Dioscorea, Angelica, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Gentianae Macrophylla, 15g of Phellodendron, 12g of Plantago lanceolata, 6g of Mucor.
  Directions: Decoction in water
  Indications: Damp-heat lumbago.
  16. 6g each of Qiang Duxiang, Gao Ben and Chuan Xiong, 9g each of Fang Feng, Gentiana Macrophylla, Fu Ling Pi and Sang Zhi.

  Indications: Rheumatic lumbago
  17. 9g each of Dog’s spine, Red and White Peony, Radix Gentianae Macrophyllae, Safflower, Boswellia, Fried Aconite, 12g each of Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Chuanjiao, Gynostemma, Eucommia, and Hemp Skin.
  Directions: Decoction in water
  Indications: Blood stasis and lumbago
  18. 60g each of Lycium barbarum, Chinese yam, Chinese paper (fried in wine), Eucommia globulus (fried in salt), Tribulus terrestris (fried in sprinkling), Semen cuscutae (fried in vinegar), walnuts and cotton seeds.
  Usage: Finely grind together, refine and dense into pills, each pill. Take 2 pills each time, 2 times a day.
  Indications: Kidney deficiency and lumbago.
  19. 30 grams of broken paper.
  Usage: Stir-fried into powder. Take 9 grams in warm wine.
  Indications: Same as above
  20. Raw sapodilla
  Usage: Finely grinded and mixed with vinegar to form a paste. Apply to the vital gate and Yongquan points.
  Indications: Cold and damp back pain.
  21. 30 grams of cotton seeds, 20 grams of white onion, grams of sage leaves.
  Directions: Decoction with water
  Indications: chronic low back pain
  22. 31 g of Radix Codonopsis, Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis, 15 g of Xuan Hu and Niubizi, 24 g of Eucommia and 18 g of Chuan Gui.
  Usage: Take with water. For kidney-yin deficiency type, add 62 grams of raw earth and 15 grams of cypress; for those with night sweating, add 31 grams of floating wheat; for both kidney-yang deficiency type, add 9 grams of cinnamon and 18 grams of sliced sphagnum; for both spleen and kidney deficiency type, add 12 grams of sand, 31 grams of fried grain, 24 grams of nutmeg and 24 grams of wai yam; for leucorrhoea, add 314 grams of golden cherry seed and 18 grams of thornberry.

  23, Astragalus membranaceus 15 grams, Eucommia, bone fructus (fried in salt water), safflower 6 grams each walnut flesh 8.

  24. 1 pair of kidney, 15 grams of Eucommia charcoal.
  Directions: Decoction in water. Take 1 dose daily for 3 doses.
  Indications: Kidney deficiency and lumbar pain.
  25. 15g each of Lingxian, Papaya, Haitongpi and Shiguananto.
  Directions: Decoction in water
  Indications: cold dampness and lumbar and leg pain.
  26. 50 grams each of watermelon peel and green peel.
  Usage: Dried and grinded into powder. Take 15 grams in yellow wine, 2 times a day.
  Indications: Flashing back pain.
  27. 9 grams each of Zhi Mu and Cang Zhu, 6 grams each of Jiuxiang Worm, Chen Pi and Fang Wei, and 3 grams of Da Huang.
  Usage: Grind into fine powder and mix with appropriate amount of honeycomb. Take 1 spoonful each time, 3 times daily before meals.
  Indications: Damp heat and back pain
  28. 12 grams of Angelica Sinensis, 25 grams each of Radix et Rhizoma Dioscoreae and Rock Sugar, 60 grams of Radix Notoginseng, 15 grams of pork, 9 grams of Chinese wolfberry and 12 jujubes.
  Usage: Decoction with water
  Indications: Kidney deficiency and lumbago
  29. 9 grams of pediatric tea.
  Usage: Decoction in water, with yellow wine as a guide, once in the morning and once in the evening. It is more effective if you sweat slightly after taking it.
  Indications: Flashing and back pain.
  30. 120 grams of raw Coix Seed and 180 grams of Radix et Rhizoma Polygonati.
  Usage: Immerse the above medicine in white wine and seal the bottle with wax, and use after 15 days. Drink 2 glasses of wine each time, take 1 time in the morning and evening.
  Indications: Wind-cold lumbar and leg pain.
  31. 15 grams of cow knee and 6 grams of deer horn cream.

  Indications: Rheumatic lumbar and leg pain.
  32. 7 earthworms, 15 grams each of Di Long, Ma Huang, Gui Zhi and Du Zhong.
  Usage: Decoction in water.
  Indications: Acute lumbar sprain.
  33. 15g each of Atractylodes Macrocephalae, Pegasus tenuifoliae, Phellodendron bark and Papaya, 20g each of Radix Achyranthes bidentatae, Fructus Dioscoreae, Rhizoma Dioscoreae and Cortex Eucommiae, 10g each of Rhizoma Chuanxiong, 25g of Job’s tear.
  Directions: Decoction with water.
  Indications: Damp-heat lumbago
  34. 100 grams each of calamus, red hyssop root and basil root, 3 crabs and 200 grams of rice bran.
  Usage: Mash and add 100mls of white wine, fry and heat. Apply to the affected area for several times and see the results.
  Indications: Acute lumbar sprain.
  35.Cutter bean root 30g.
  Usage: Decocted in half a cup of wine and half a cup of water.
  Indications: rheumatic lumbago
  36. 15g of each of Cistanches, Cistanches, Eucommia, and Daxinan, 3g of green salt, and 1 pork loin.
  Usage: Research into coarse powder, incorporate into the pig’s loin, sewed with thread and placed in a hot pot for 10 minutes, then add 300ml of water, boil, and serve with wine.
  Indications: Old age lumbago.
  37. 3g each of saffron and frankincense, 10g each of angelica, red peony, fried shanjia, eucommia and sequestra, 10g each of salt-made knife-beans shell, 15g of chicken blood vine and 12g of dog’s spine.
  Directions: Decoction in water, take warm, one dose daily.
  Indications: Chronic lumbar muscle strain.
  38. 1.5g of whole scorpion, 9g of each of sliced snapper and herb snake, 3 of centipede, 6g of turtle worms and 5g of ginseng and panax notoginseng.
  Usage: Research finely and take one dose daily in 2 doses.
  Indications: Lumbar muscle strain.
  39. 15g of Plantago ovata, 6g each of Ephedra and Glycyrrhiza glabra, and 9g each of Rhizoma Polygonati.
  Usage: Decoction with water, 1-3 doses can be cured.
  Indications: Acute lumbar sprain.
