How soon after a tendon rupture is sutured do you exercise to recover?

Exercise recovery after tendon rupture with sutures is usually possible 3 to 4 weeks after surgery.
Moderate activities can be carried out during the immobilization period after tendon rupture, and joint mobility training and muscle strength training can be carried out as prescribed by the doctor after the immobilization is released.
Different parts of the tendon rupture have different rehabilitation methods, take finger tendon rupture as an example.
After 3 days of operation, we can wear inactive brace; after 3 days to 4 weeks of operation, we can do passive flexion and extension of fingers under the protection of brace; after 4~7 weeks of operation, we can do joint mobility training and grasping training; after more than 8 weeks of operation, we can gradually remove the brace and do non-forceful grasping, and then after 12 weeks, we can gradually transition to forceful grasping.
The time of exercise after tendon rupture suture should be decided according to the degree of injury, site, surgery, healing, etc. It is recommended that patients should be treated under the guidance of professional doctors and should not train blindly to avoid adverse consequences.
