There is no necessary relationship between advanced stage of lymphoma and swollen feet, although most patients with advanced stage of lymphoma can have swollen feet, swollen feet does not necessarily mean that the lymphoma patients are already in advanced stage. The staging of lymphoma is mainly determined by the lymph node regions or organs invaded by the tumor. Usually, the more lymph node regions and the wider the distribution of lymph nodes involved, the later the staging, and the emergence of diffuse liver, bone marrow and other extra-nodal organs invasion also belongs to the advanced stage. Lymphoma patients with advanced stage may have swollen feet due to malnutrition, compression of blood vessels or lymphatic vessels, etc. However, the appearance of swollen feet does not necessarily mean that the patients are already in advanced stage, and certain patients whose disease started in the lymph nodes of lower limbs may cause swollen feet in the early stage, even if they do not have extensive invasion. The stage of lymphoma needs to be determined through a series of examinations, such as CT of chest and abdomen, ultrasound of lymph nodes and even bone marrow aspiration. It is suggested that patients should go to hospital as early as possible, complete the above examinations, consult professional doctors to determine the specific stage, and then formulate the corresponding treatment plan.
