What to do if an ant gets in your ear

If ants have gotten into the ear, the external ear canal can be soaked well with liquids such as oil and ethanol to encourage the discharge of the foreign body. If the ants do not come out with the liquid, then you need to actively seek medical treatment.
Ants in the ear often cause itching, pain and other discomforts in the ear canal. The affected ear can be taken towards the upper head position, with oil and less than 75% concentration of ethanol to fully soak the external auditory canal, or ants can be seen with the overflow of liquid and discharge. If this phenomenon is not seen in static observation, active medical consultation is required.
Specialized doctors can use professional equipment to observe the ear canal, choose special instruments to remove the ants, or apply saline to flush the ants out.
When ants get into the ear, it is not recommended to blindly pull out the ear or slap the outer ear to avoid disturbing the ants and causing unnecessary damage to the outer ear canal.
