How late can a child talk?

Children usually speak around two years of age at the latest.
Each child’s living environment, early language training, and the presence or absence of related illnesses will lead to a different delay in speech. Parents should be with their children during the critical period of language development and provide them with more communication and guidance in language.
If a child is still unable to speak beyond the age of two, we need to actively look for the cause.
Whether it is related to the living environment, adults do not talk much, do not actively communicate with the child in the language, do not give a good environment to guide the child to speak, which leads to the child to speak late. There may also be illnesses, such as hearing impairment, developmental delay, autism, and so on.
It is recommended that children with delayed speech should be seen by a specialist clinic for a clear diagnosis and early treatment.
