In the middle of the eyebrows is the Yintang acupoint, which is located at the intersection of the line between the two eyebrows and the front center line.
Yintang point has the effect of brightening the eyes and clearing the nose, dispersing wind and clearing heat, and calming the mind and tranquilizing the spirit. Clinically, it is mainly used for the treatment of headache, vertigo, insomnia, dementia, amnesia, nosebleed, pediatric convulsions (pediatric diseases mainly manifested by dizziness, apoplexy, and convulsions), post-partum dizziness and dizziness, unconsciousness in stroke, and pain in the two eyebrow bones, and so on.
The skin at the Yin Tang point is thin and flesh is small, and the needle is often taken to pinch the needle method, i.e., pinching the local skin and stabbing into the acupuncture point. Because the Yin Tang point is located on the face, and there are many nerves nearby, moxibustion is generally not recommended.
If the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, by a professional practitioner of acupuncture operation, do not blindly self-acupuncture, so as not to cause damage to the organism.
