It is true that women who get pregnant the night their husbands drink alcohol may have adverse effects because men who drink alcohol can affect the quality of their sperm and develop sperm malformations which can lead to poor quality embryos after pregnancy. If the embryo grows normally and there is no abnormal vaginal bleeding or abdominal pain, the pregnancy can continue. It is important to do comprehensive maternity tests such as Down’s syndrome screening and 4D ultrasound and these tests must be done because fetal malformations may be detected in the middle of the pregnancy and in case of fetal malformations, induction of labor will be considered to terminate the pregnancy.
