What are the signs of rectal cancer in young people?

There is no obvious sign for young people to get rectal cancer, but they should go to the hospital in time if they have symptoms such as abnormal bowel movement and unexplained blood in stool.

Early stage of rectal cancer does not have typical symptoms, but with the progress of the disease, there is often a change in the character of stool. Part of rectal cancer appears in the intestinal lumen, which leads to different degrees of narrowing of intestinal tract, and the passage of stool will be affected to a certain extent, which may be manifested as unobstructed defecation, or the appearance of notches in the stool, or the thinning of the stool, etc. Part of the patients may have a change in the habit of defecation, such as constipation or diarrhea, or the sense of urgency, heaviness, or the feeling of falling. Some patients may have changes in bowel habit, constipation or diarrhea, or may have a feeling of heaviness or a feeling of falling.

Rectal cancer patients may also show the symptom of blood in stool. Blood in stool caused by rectal cancer is mainly fresh blood, which is mostly attached to the surface of stool. Blood in stool of rectal cancer patients should be differentiated from hemorrhoids.

If young patients have stool changes and blood in stool, they should go to hospital in time for rectal finger diagnosis and anoscopy to clarify whether rectal cancer has occurred.
