You can’t tell if you’re in labor simply by your stomach dropping. An important sign of labor is regular and gradually increasing uterine contractions that last for 30 seconds or more. 1. Uterine contractions: Rhythmic uterine contractions are the main force of labor. The gradual intensification of uterine contractions lasting more than half a minute, accompanied by dilatation of the uterine orifice, progressive disappearance of the cervical canal, and the descent of the fetal prelude indicate that the mother is entering a state of impending labor. The use of sedatives cannot inhibit labor. To determine whether labor is imminent, it is necessary to strictly observe the frequency, duration and intensity of contractions. 2. Prolonged labor: When labor is imminent, contractions will stretch the lower part of the uterus to 7-10 cm, accompanied by the disappearance of the cervical canal and then dilation of the mouth of the uterus. Mothers with abdominal pain, abdominal distension, abdominal drop need to go to the hospital as soon as possible to avoid affecting the labor process.
