Cardiac enhancement CT examination should refer to the heart coronary artery spiral enhancement CT, i.e. coronary artery CTA, is a kind of examination to assist in determining whether the patient has coronary heart disease.
Coronary CTA examination can find out whether there are atheromatous plaques in the patient’s coronary arteries, whether there is narrowing of the coronary artery lumen, etc. The accuracy rate of coronary CTA can be as high as 90%, which is less traumatizing than coronary angiography and easier to operate, and it is a commonly used way of checking the coronary arteries.
Coronary CTA is performed by injecting a contrast agent through a peripheral vein and then utilizing spiral CT scanning imaging to check for coronary artery stenosis and occlusion. A small number of patients may be allergic to the contrast agent after injection. If a patient develops symptoms such as a rash, nausea, or difficulty breathing, he or she should be alert and inform the doctor immediately.
If coronary CTA is needed, please follow the doctor’s instructions to improve the examination.
