What is the sudden rib pain?

Sudden rib pain is commonly associated with several causes such as rib fractures and chronic medical diseases, as follows: First, rib fractures: both acute injury-induced rib fractures and pathological rib fractures. Patients will all have sudden painful symptoms in the ribs, accompanied by restricted chest movement and severely affected breathing amplitude. The diagnosis can be confirmed by taking rib radiographs, and complex rib fractures require 3D CT scan reconstruction. Second, chronic medical diseases: such as emphysema and bronchopneumonia, patients with chronic coughing and chest expansion can cause fatigue periostitis to form in the ribs. Patients may have sudden aggravation of rib pain symptoms, even affecting respiratory function. Patients may also have mild pain in the chest in ordinary life, which if treated promptly can lead to improvement of symptoms and avoid the occurrence of fatigue fractures.
